SUMMARY:Opus Chamber Music Concert
DESCRIPTION:Richard Cionco in Concert\n\nThe Romantic program performed by Richard Cionco will be a tour de force of styles\, from the 30-minute monumental Sonata in B Minor by Franz Liszt to the exquisitely delicate miniature\, Juene filles au Jardin by Federico Mompou. Amongst the most well known and beloved music on the program will be three Mazurka's by Frederic Chopin\, and Earl Wild's arrangement of Rachmaninov'sVocalise. To end\, Mr. Cionco will perform his own show-stopping transcription of Karl Tausig's transcription of Johann Strauus Jr.'s grand waltz One Lives Only Once. This "double transcribing" is rare and will prove to be a thrilling conclusion.
