DESCRIPTION:The New Quintet with Carol BarnesThe range of instrumental combinations and tonal color available within the five instruments of the woodwind quintet is truly wonderful and has inspired an extensive and varied repertoire for this ensemble over more than two centuries.  The members of NQ bring many years of experience to the task and joy of performing some of the finest pieces in that repertoire. In addition NQ will be joined by pianist Carol Barnes in the stunning Francis Polence Sextet for woodwind quintet and piano.
