DESCRIPTION:Looking for locally handmade Christmas gifts? Or freshly baked cookies and breads for your Thanksgiving spread? Find them all at Mendocino Study Club's Country Christmas Bazaar on Saturday\, Nov. 18 at the Preston Hall\, next to the Mendocino Presbyterian Church. The event runs from 10 a.m. to 2: p.m. \n\nHandmade items for sale will include lavender sachets\, potholders\, special creations\, holiday decorations\, ornaments and lots of fine treasures. To top it off\, there will be a delicious variety of home baked cookies\, pies\, and breads. Homemade jams\, jellies\, chutneys and those delicious Quinault pickles will also be available. And don't forget the cheerful pine cone bird feeders for the birds in your garden. \n\nThe event includes a raffle featuring dozens of valuable prizes such as brunches and dinners for two at area restaurants\, and overnight at Benbow Inn\, gifts of Mendocino County wines\, paintings by local artists\, haircuts\, jewelry\, gift baskets filled with special items\, and numerous gift certificates from area shops. Tickets are available at the bazaar or by calling 937-2348. You do not need to be present to win. All proceeds of the sale and raffle support local scholarships and the Mendocino Community Library.
