A loose-knit association of artists and models\, MFDC has served hundreds of local and visiting artists\, has generated many thousands of figure studies\, and has been honored with a dozen or so group exhibitions. The workshops are founded on centuries-old principles of art\, treating the human body as a source of structural anatomy observation\, empathy\, visual pleasure\, and graphic inspiration. MFDC welcomes drop-ins at their Wednesday afternoon uninstructed sessions. Current fees are $11 per three-hour session\, or $10 per session paid by the month.
