DESCRIPTION:Mendocino Coast artist John Hewitt's exhibit\, "Art Tours of Europe\," captures his experiences traveling overseas three separate times over a five-year period\, giving tours and leading workshops in Greece\, Italy\, Scotland and Ireland.\n\n \n\nJohn has been teaching painting for over 25 years and in the process developed an approach that leaves nothing hidden. The entire creative process is exposed and explained in the words of the world's greatest watercolor painters with whom he has studied extensively. John is a signature member of 7 major watercolor societies\, having shown in over 130 national juried shows with 30 plus awards. He exhibits in many permanent collections worldwide. John is the co-founder of the Mendocino Art Center's Mendocino Open Paint Out\, a plein air festival held each September since 2013. \n\n \n\nHoliday Celebration & Second Saturday Gallery Reception:\n\nDecember 9\, 5pm-8pm\n\nFree admission\n\n \n\nMendocino Art Center hosts a free Second Saturday Artists Reception each month.
