DESCRIPTION:In April Partners is presenting an invitational show featuring four Mendocino Coast artists and teachers.\n\nSolange Roberdeau expresses her love of the character of materials including the beauty of raw ink\, handmade papers and metal in her spare abstract drawings.\n\nExploring the content of a drop of coastal water\, Sarah Logan creates hand-formed ceramic sculptures that resonate her appreciation of the unseen aspects of our natural world.\n\nWorking with painted images of ocean waves and silver and gold pen drawing\, Rebecca Wallace creates paintings that suggest glimpses into invisible realms\, metaphysical realities and internal landscapes.\n\nCollyn Ahrens uses stoneware and porcelain to create bust sculptures and other ceramic forms to investigate animacy and the desire to see oneself in material.\n\nAhrens and Logan were both artists in residence at the Mendocino Art Center and both teach ceramics at the coast center of Mendocino College. Roberdeau teaches at Art Explorers and the Ukiah campus of the Mendocino College. Wallace teaches at Mendocino Junior College.
