Suddenly\, James finds himself in the center of the gigantic peach\, among human-sized insects with equally oversized personalities\, but after it falls from the tree and rolls into the ocean\, the group faces hunger\, sharks and plenty of disagreements. Thanks to James' quick wit and creative thinking\, the residents learn to live and work together as a family. The dangerous voyage is a success\, but the adventure takes a whole new twist once they land on the Empire State Building.\n\n\n\nA delightfully offbeat adaptation of the classic Roald Dahl adventure\, the creative possibilities with James and the Giant Peach are endless. Actors will love playing the outlandish characters and performing brand new material from one of Broadway's hottest duos\, Pasek & Paul (Dear Evan Hansen\, Dogfight\, A Christmas Story).\n\n\n\nCASTING: Due to the vocal demands of the role of James\, we will consider boys and girls ages from 7 to 15. All other lead roles we are ideally looking for teens to adults but we will consider everyone. Ensemble is 7 and up. \n\n\n\nREHEARSALS: Rehearsals will begin mid-August. Rehearsal days and times will be announced soon. Depending on the role\, certain actors may not be called for every rehearsal.\n\n\n\nCONFLICTS: Conflicts are allowed up until two weeks before the production opens. Auditionees should bring their schedule with them to auditions and list all conflicts on the audition form. Conflicts can factor into casting so it is important that all conflicts are listed on the audition form. \n\n\n\nPERFORMANCES: October 5 - 21.
